MRS. KIRABIRA ANNETTE
CHAIRPERSON - PTA
As a former student of KCB in the 1970s, a parent for the last 10 years and now PTA Chairman for the last four years, i have seen and learnt so many things that have helped me shape into the person i am today. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has a mandate of closing the gap between the parents and the teachers and to look into matters that pertain to the welfare of both teachers and students.
We have looked into various aspects of the students and staff welfare. On the students' side, we have considered the following areas; Academic performance, displine, health, participation in games, providing counseling services and more.
In regard to staff welfare, we have looked into issues pertaining to housing, paying for utilities, paying PTA top-ups, fees for their children etc.
The PTA also participates and undertakes various projects assigned to the by the BoG which include; House improvememnts, construction of the new swimming pool and more recently the TUZIMBE project.
