The first full “Old Budonians” were 19 boys that had completed the planned three year course in 1908. By the end of the 1910, there were 39 Old Budonians. In 1908 Henry, Walter Weatherhead thought the school had come a long way in a short time but knew that there was much more to be done and chose a school motto accordingly.
In 1908, Weatherhead invited the director of the Uganda Company, Mr. Barbour, to talk to the boys. He told them about the progress of South Africa and the work of Cecil Rhodes, quoting Rhode’s famous phrase, “ So little done, so much TO DO”
The boys were so taken by this motion that they set themselves to find the Luganda equivalent. After a while, one of them brought to Weatherhead the proverb Gakyali Mabaga.
CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
Kings college prides itself not only on being a center for academic excellence, but also for having a variety of stimulating and energetic clubs and societies which engage Students and give them the opportunity to discover new passions or pursue their own intellectual interests. Although a member of staff is responsible for each activity, the emphasis is very much on allowing students to generate the ideas and drive to make each society a success.
The clubs' activities are not only limited to the school premises but also in the school's surrounding communities. This helps students to feel the gratification of helping others and also being apart of something accomplished.
This section encompasses student projects, administrative projects and community projects.
All efforts are being done to keep the 110 year- Old- School looking good. we have maintained the buildings, compounds and added more structures.
Oh maker of this lovely hill
The trees and grasses freshly green
The morning mists and water still
We thank you for this royal hill
As gifts from thy almighty hand
We love our school, our farm our land
But though these gifts enrich and please
We pray to love thee more than these.
Oh! Teacher of all truth and right
Who leadest those that seek the light
We entrust them to thy loving grace
And thank thee for this well loved school
Most of our students are successful in every profession imaginable, including law, science, medicine, business, politics, and the creative arts. They are often leaders and innovators in their fields.

Good books are the lighthouses that enlighten our families, school and society. They soothe the spirit, educate the heart, improve characters, explore unknown lands, and lead us to wisdom piety and delight.
Kings College Budo organises reading competitions at least twice every year in a quest to track the fluency and gauge the reading habits of the students.
A brainteaser is a type of riddle that makes one think outside the box. Some brainteasers are easy, some are a little harder, and some can really make you ponder for a while. Often, when you finally hear the answer, you feel ignorant or silly, because it should have been obvious to you. However, brainteasers are fun. Therefore, we keep testing ourselves and hoping we get better at solving them.
